Women Making Handcrafts for Local Ministries/Charities

Meet 1st Tuesday of every month, 1:00 pm & 7:00 pm

Place: 9314 Canyon Rd E, #16, Tacoma, WA

 

The monthly gatherings provide the opportunity for fellowship and encouragement in our projects. Also there will be prayer over any completed items before they are taken to the recipients (see below). The projects will focus on prayer shawls for the women, blankies for the children, and baby blankets and hats for the littlest ones.

 

Don't know how to knit, crochet or sew, we'll teach you. Can't afford supplies, we'll help.

 

reaching those in need...

Care and the love of handwork have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of God's love, comfort and peace. Many blessings will be worked into every project with prayers for the recipient offered up throughout its creation. A simple card will accompany each gift with a prayer, scripture and encouraging word.

Although the areas of need and the ministries available are numerous, we have decided to focus on just a few as we begin. New Beginnings is a home for young unwed mothers, CareNet or Crisis Pregnancy Center and Family Renewal Center which helps victims of domestic violence.
