home groups
Home Groups are a great way to build relationships with others while fostering a relationship with Christ. As the name implies, Home Groups meet in homes, rather than at the church.
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47
These groups provide good food and great fellowship – and provide a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with others from Trinity Church.
Home groups meet throughout the week, every other week. Currently, there are the following groups meeting in Tacoma, Lakewood, University Place, Puyallup, Spanaway/Roy, and Graham:

TESTIMONY
Being part of a Home Group is of such importance to us. As we prepare for our meeting night, it's as if we are going on a date (we often encourage couples to get out at least once a month for a date night). Home Group has become one of our nights out and it has strengthened our marriage. There's something about sharing the word of God that brings you closer to each other.
There are so many things we love about our small group...support, fellowship and accountability are all so important today. Also, how often have you had questions during a Sunday sermon? Home Group gives you that opportunity to ask. It encourages you to take notes on Sunday. Our leaders keep the discussion from branching out from what the sermon was saying and keep the focus on what the word of God says.
Once we brought a friend who doesn't go to church often and she really enjoyed it. The leaders made her feel right at home. Home Group is great for someone who does not go to church, but will attend a gathering in a home. We often ask someone sitting next to us at church if they have a small group; if not, we invite them to ours. Word of mouth is the greatest tool for this ministry to spread the Gospel.
In God's love, James and Denise
