what we believe

Infallibility of the Scriptures:  2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13
We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the infallible and inspired Word of God, the basis of our Christian faith and the final, definitive guide of our daily lives.

Eternal Godhead; the Trinity:  Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons who are distinguishable but indivisible: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Literal and Special Creation:  Genesis 1-11
We believe in the full Biblical record of primeval history, including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the beginning of mankind, the literal fall and resultant curse on creation, the origin of nations and languages at the tower of Babel.

Original Sin:  Romans 5:12, 18
We believe that man was created in the image of God, he was tested and by voluntary disobedience he became spiritually deprived and unable to attain to divine righteousness.

The Person of Christ:  Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6
We believe in the virgin birth and the deity of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, 100% God and 100% man.

Death and Resurrection of Christ:  I Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 4:25
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples.

Ascension of Jesus into Heaven:  John 14:2,3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, literal and bodily second coming to return for his bride, the Church.

Salvation by Grace:  Ephesians 2:8,9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11
We believe that salvation has been provided for all people through the perfect work of Christ on the cross, resulting in eternal life for all who believe, turn from sin and place their faith in Him alone.

Water Baptism:  Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38,39, 19:1-6
We believe that baptism by immersion is an act of obedience to the Lord and is symbolic of the believer's identification with his death, burial and resurrection.

The Lord's Supper (Communion): 1 Corinthians 11:23-32
We believe in partaking of the Lord's Supper as a reminder to believers of Christ's death and resurrection.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit:  Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 19:6
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to be a foundational experience to endue the believer's daily life with power and is subsequent to and separate from salvation.

The Gifts of the Spirit:  1 Corinthians 12-14
We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are to be desired and operational in the Church. The gifts as imparted by the Holy Spirit enable the Church to minister to the saints and to the world.

Spirit-filled life:  Ephesians 5:18; 2 Corinthians 6:14, 7:1
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.

Divine healing:  1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14
We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power in its varied aspects as practiced in the early church.

Eternal life of believers:  John 5:24, 3:16
We believe in eternal life for all believers, and eternal punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thes. l 1:9)

Satan:  Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and eternal judgment of Satan and his demons.
