spirit of friendship

We had a great day at church yesterday welcoming and hearing from our friends, Ted and Monalisa Ciuciui from Romania.

1 Thessalonians 2:8 came to mind after spending just a few hours with our new friends, "So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us."

I title this blog a Spirit of Friendship because it has got to be the Holy Spirit at work that, after sharing two meals together and one Sunday service, that we could feel such a kinship, camaraderie, and care for two people. The Fellowship of the Saints is a very special thing that we should never take for granted as God, through His Spirit, has called us "saints,” "friends,” "children,” "co-laborers.”

I pray that God will continue to open doors to even more spiritual friendships, as it is through these that we multiply our impact for Christ on this suffering world. As we head into the rest of our Missions month, may you see the beautiful thing it is to partner together with so many great people.
