"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create...." Isaiah 65:17-18.
I love this verse. I shared it in our staff meeting on Wednesday. I love that God declares that He will create a new heavens and a new earth. I love that God is not done creating. I love that what He creates is so wonderful that the former things will not even be remembered. I love that, as the creator, He has authority to bring things to pass that I don't have a clue of how it can happen. It’s not something I can do or find or anyone else can do for me. God has to create it. I love it but I
hate it because it also means it is out of my control. We love that God creates but we want to determine the what, the when, and the where.
A few things for us all to be praying for in 2013:
- That we would trust God to create what He wills in our lives.
- That we have the spiritual vision to see what He is creating around us, in us and in
- That we wouldn't live in the past of the former things.
- That we would rejoice in what, when and where He creates.
It’s a New Year and God has all of our days in His hand. Let’s trust Him and anticipate what He will create this year.
